Description
The possibility that neutron stars may possess an 'abnormal' central region of the Lee-Wick type is discussed. It is found that when the abnormal equation of state includes quantum corrections and short-range repulsion as required in normal nuclear matter, the gravitational pressure in stable neutron stars is insufficient to induce a phase transition to abnormal matter.
