Description

Hypothesis about existence of multiquark (mainly 12q) bags in nuclei is applied to discuss spectra of cumulative nucleons and mesons produced in collisions of high-energy particles with nuclei. It is shown that the exponential quark momentum distribution in 12q-bag esup(-k/ksub(0)) at k >> k0 ( agreeing well with the data on lepton-nucleus scattering at large q2) results in the almost exponential distribution of cumulative particles over the light-cone variable αsub(B)=(Esub(p)-p cos theta)/msub(N) at psub(perpendicular)=0: f(αsub(B), psub(perpendicular)=0)=Esub(p)(dsup(3)σ/dsup(3)p) approximately esup(-aαsub(B)), where a=msub(N)/2ksub(0)=7-8. Dependence of f(αsub(B), psub(perpendicular)) on psub(perpendicular) is also treated. Yields of cumulative resonances as well as effects resulting from possible differences of u- and d-quark distributions in N > Z nuclei are discussed
