Process and device for testing and cleaning a sealing surface on the top of a flange of a nuclear reactor containment
Description
In the reactor containment of a water-cooled nuclear reactor plant situated in a cavern, which can be closed with a lid, the flange towards the lid has a sealing surface. In order to clean and check this sealing surface with the lid removed, it is necessary to approach the sealing surface protected against radiation. A trough filled with a liquid shielding medium is supported on the flange of the reactor containment. An annular space is formed between the inside wall of the cavern and the jacket of the trough, from which the sealing surface is accessible. (orig.)

Bei einem in einer Kaverne angeordneten, mit einem Deckel verschliessbaren Reaktorbehaelter einer wassergekuehlten Kernreaktoranlage weist die dem Deckel zugewandte Flanschseite eine Dichtflaeche auf. Zum Reinigen und Ueberpruefen dieser Dichtflaeche bei abgenommenem Deckel ist ein strahlengeschuetztes Begehen des Dichtflaechenbereiches erforderlich. Dazu ist eine mit fluessigem Abschirmmedium gefuellte Wanne auf dem Flansch des Reaktorbehaelters abgestuetzt. Zwischen der Kaverneninnenwand und dem Mantel der Wanne ist ein Ringraum gebildet, von dem aus die Dichtflaeche zugaenglich ist. (orig.)Files
