ICRP Committee 2: September 1993 meeting

  • 1. National Radiological Protection Board, Chilton (United Kingdom)

Description

Committee 2 of the International Commission on Radiological Protection is charged with the responsibility for establishing secondary limits based on the Commission's recommended dose limits. Following the issue of the 1990 Recommendations of the Commission in Publication 60, it has been developing a series of documents related to their practical application to both external radiation and internally incorporated radionuclides. The acceptance by the Commission of the new respiratory tract model also has implications for its future work programme. The programme of work of Committee 2 and its task groups was reviewed at the September meeting of the Committee and is summarised here. (author)
