Cadmium (II) complex formation with 1-methyl-2-mercaptoimidazole in the temperature interval 283-323 K

Description
The complex formation of cadmium (II) with 1-methyl-2-mercaptoimidazole in aqueous solutions at ionic strength of 0.1 mol/l and at temperature interval 283 - 323 K has been studied by means of potentiometric titration method. It has been found that during the interaction of cadmium (II) with 1-methyl -2-mercaptoimidazole forms four complex particles. The general and stepwise stability constants of obtained complexes have been calculated. The thermodynamic functions of reaction of complex formation have been defined. It has been shown that the spontaneous course of complex formation reaction is due to the enthalpy factor. (author)
