On some regularities of alloying element effects on decrease of tendency to brittle fracture in metallic alloys
Creators
Description
Regularities of alloying element effect (Mo, V, Nb, Ta) on certain types of iron, zirconium and titanium alloy embrittlement are considered. Correlation between alloying effect on the matrix solid solution phase transformation temperature and the tendency to brittle fracture is noted. It is shown that the given correlation reflects the physical connection, conditioned by a change of alloy electron structure under alloying with certain multivalent elements
