Diffusion in amorphous metallic alloys. Methods and results.Review

Analysis of techniques and results of investigations into diffusion in amorphous metal alloys (AMA) was performed in the review. It is shown that when studying diffusion in AMA with provision for small value of diffusion paths, special attention should be paid to a method for constructing and measuring concentration profiles as well as to methods for calculating diffusion coefficient. Diffusion mobility of substitution impurities in AMA is higher by several orders than in crystalline analogs
