Gauge hierarchy due to strong interactions
Description
Yukawa couplings or the quartic scalar coupling may become strong at an energy scale below the unification mass. This could lead to a natural explanation of a large gauge hierarchy. The new strong interactions require the scalar mass to be larger than 173 GeV. (orig.)
