Description

Neutrons of very low energy (< 10-7 eV) are called ultracold. Their special properties as well as possibilities of their application in determining the neutron electric dipole moment are presented. Production and storage of ultracold neutrons are discussed. Some neutron optics experiments are briefly described. (author)
