Triode type ultra fast photo detectors
Description
Ultra fast photo detectors have been developed using triode structure, in which a mesh electrode was placed between the photocathode (or MCP) and the anode as the third electrode. Output circuit is composed by the mesh electrode and the anode. Rise time of 33 psec has been observed in the triode type photo tube and 160 psec rise time in the triode type MCP-PMT
