Description

Activation cross sections of deuteron induced reactions on mercury for production of 195g(cum), 196m, 196g, 197, 198m, 198g, 199, 200, 201, 202Tl, 194, 195g(cum), 196m2, 196g(cum), 198m, 199Au and 95m, 197m, 203Hg were measured up to 50 MeV incident particle energy for the first time. The experimental data are compared with the predictions of the TALYS 1.6 (results TENDL-2014 on-line library) codes and with the scarce literature values. Possible practical use, based on derived thick target yields, is discussed. (author)
