Is there a superband in 20Ne
Creators

Description
No evidence is found in the ¹²C(¹²C,α)²⁰Ne reaction for a 6⁺ member of a "superband" predicted by Vogt to lie in the range Eₓ=10-11 MeV. We suggest the 6⁺ state at 12.14 MeV as the 6⁺ member of the core-excited band built on the 7.20-MeV 0⁺ state.NUCLEAR REACTIONS ¹²C(¹²C,α)²⁰Ne, E=30-37 MeV. Measured . θ_lab=3.75°.
