Description
Optical thicknesses tau(Δ lambda) are obtained by the Shvestky method from measurements of metal lines absorbtion in the wings of the Hsub(β) and Hsub(γ) lines, by the flash in the photosphere. The linear dependence of lgtau on the logarithm of the distance from the absorption line to the center of the hydrogen line lg Δ lambda is obtained by the least squares method. It is found to be close to the dependence expected for the Stark broadening. Electron density in the flare nsub(e) and the number of hydrogen atoms in the second state n2 are determined using the Stark mechanism theory for the wings of Hsub(β) and Hsub(γ) lines
