Reactor accident risks in perspective
Description
The risk of reactor accidents in the USA is put in perspective by comparing it with other risks. For instance, reactor accidents are calculated to cause an average 4 deaths per year compared to 10,000 caused by pollution from coal burning. The loss of individual life expectancy from reactor accidents is about 15 minutes, as compared to 30 days from radon in homes. 1 fig
