As many plants age and equipment modifications are implemented, the industry has the opportunity to address the issue of control room obsolescence through technology application and enhanced engineering techniques using existing systems. This paper addresses the practice of Simulation Based Design (SBD) for control room modernization driven by plant modifications and upgrades
