Description
The object of this study is the vitrification in pot of the residual solutions of the fission products originating from a treatment of Sicral fuel irradiated in EDF's graphite-gas reactors. The pot vitrification process, a discontinuous process, consists in supplying an induction-heated pot with nitric waste solutions and an adjuvant providing the additional elements to make a glass. The process involves an evaporation stage, then a drying and denitrification stage, and finally a glass refining (and pouring) stage. In the first part, the radioelements contained in the solution are calculated and the products due to the process are fixed. In a second part, the glass main characteristics are measured and the dimensions of the apparatus are determined
Abstract (French)
Cette etude a pour objet la vitrification en pot des solutions residuaires des produits de fission provenant d'un traitement de combustible Sicra irradie dans les reacteurs du type graphite-gaz de l'EDF. Le procede de vitrification en pot, procede discontinu, consiste a alimenter un pot chauffe par induction avec les solutions residuaires nitriques et un adjuvant apportant les elements complementaires pour realiser un verre. Durant l'alimentation, on evapore, puis on seche et denitrifie, enfin on procede a l'affinage du verre, enfin a sa coulee. Dans la premiere partie, on calcule les radioelements contenus dans la solution et on fixe les produits dus au procede. On conclut a la necessite d'etudier deux cas: 1 an ou 2 ans apres la sortie du reacteur. Dans une deuxieme partie, on recherche par des essais de synthese en laboratoire des compositions de verre et l'on en mesure les caracteristiques principales. Enfin, on determine les dimensions de l'appareillage pour les deux traitements en vue d'un choix. (auteur)Files
