Gastrooesophageal reflux during liquid and solid meals

Description
Gastrooesophageal reflux during liquid and solid metals was investigated in 43 patients with upper abdominal dyspepsia. Gastrooesophageal reflux occurred in 45% of the patients after a solid meal and in 90% after a liquid meal. Differences in oesophageal motility during liquid and solid meals are discussed as a possible explanation of the phenomenon. (orig.)

Bei 43 Patienten mit einer Dyspepsie in der Oberbauchgegend wurde der gastrooesophageale Reflux bei fluessigen und festen Mahlzeiten untersucht. 45% der Patienten hatten diese Erscheinung nach einer festen Mahlzeit und 90% der Patienten nach einer fluessigen. Unterschiedliche oesophageale Motilitaet waehrend der Einnahme fluessiger und fester Mahlzeiten wird als moegliche Erklaerung diskutiert. (orig.)Additional details
