Shell and blocking effects in α-transfer reactions

Description
Using a two-level pairing force model and assuming that α-clustering in ground states of medium and heavy nuclei is mainly the result of configuration mixing of cross-shell excitation of correlated pairs, shell and blocking effects in α-transfer reactions can be reasonably explained. (author)
