Real time analysis of surface reaction, defect growth process of materials for multiple circumstance and evaluation of physical properties of surface

Description
When the graphite surface was irradiated by the infrared laser and oxygen molecular beam, the translation energy distribution of desorption species were measured. The inlet oxygen pressure of reaction room was about 10-4 Pa, that is, the oxygen pressure on the sample surface was estimated about 40 x 10-4 Pa. The surface temperature of sample was increased to about 6900 K by radiation of infrared laser beam (1064 nm). Only carbon monoxide was detected as the production species of oxidation reaction. C1, C2 and C3, the neutral carbon micro clusters, were detected by laser ablation. The mean translation velocity of carbon monoxide was (9.7+0.1) x 104 cm/s, and that of carbon clusters was the same value. (S.Y.)
