Description
The corrosion performance of F/M steel in supercritical water (SCW) was studied. The results of general corrosion tests show that the corrosion performance of F/M steel in SCW is very bad. The temperature, concentration of oxygen and Cr have significant effects on the corrosion performance of F/M steel. The study of the effect of QPQ, electroplating Cr, and magnetron sputtering Cr on the corrosion performance of F/M steel in SCW shows that 12Cr with magnetron sputtering Cr and electroplating Cr has excellent corrosion performance, in particular that the oxide film of sample processed with electroplating Cr remains completing and compacting after 1000 h while the one with QPQ experiences severe corrosion.
