Investigations of electrical and magnetic properties of thallium based superconductors

Description

In this thesis, conventional solid state reaction route is applied to make Tl2Ba2Ca2Cu3Ox superconductor. This material is analysed by dc electrical properties, resistance versus temperature behaviours by four probe method, hall effect by Van der Paul method and two probe method. Magnetic properties of Tl2Ba2Ca2Cu3Ox are defined by ac magnetic susceptibility and Taffy model. thermal properties are determined by Wiedemann-Frantz theory, and DTA and TGA. Tc of Tl2Ba2Ca2Cu3Ox is measured for the temperature 113 K. Tl-based 2223 superconductor irradiated by ''6''0Coγ is investigated electrical properties. This sample is added 0.8%, 1%, 1.2% wt B2O3. Phase structural and electrical properties are carried out. These results indicate that B2O3 is help full for the formation of the Tl-2223 superconductors
