Properties of sintered bodies
Description
The main factors (porosity, grain size, phase inclusions and admixtures) are considered which determane properties of materials obtained by the methods of powder metallurgy. The relative property- relative density type relations are analyzed. The character of the relations made it possible to distinguish four groups of properties: those independent of porosity; additive characteristics; properties of conduction type; structural-sensitive properties. Basic analytical dependences are characterized for the properties of conductivity and strength type on porosity. Attention is paid to the efficiency of stereologic approach to describe properties of sintered materials
