Thermohydraulic primary loop behavior of a pressurized-water reactor after a small leak in the pressurizer involving multiple equipment failures

Description
The loss-of-coolant accident in a 1300 MW pressurized-water reactor due to a pressurizer relief valve that fails to close is analysed, anticipating partial failure of the emergency cooling systems and delayed onset of the secondary feedwater supply. The thermohydraulic behaviour of the primary system within the first three hours of the accident course, i.e., up to the onset of long term emergency cooling, is described in detail. (orig.)

Fuer einem 1300-MW-Druckwasserreaktor wurde der Stoerfall ''Kuehlmittelverlust durch ein offenbleibendes Druckhalterabblaseventil'' untersucht, unter der Annahme teilweiser Fehlfunktion der Notkuehlsysteme sowie befristetem Ausfall der sekundaerseitigen Dampferzeugerbespeisung. Fuer die ersten drei Stunden des Stoerfallablaufs, d.h. bis zum Einsetzen der langfristigen Notkuehlung, werden die thermohydraulischen Vorgaenge im Primaerkreislauf im einzelnen beschrieben.
