Short-lived radionuclides for radio tracer investigations aimed at process optimization in industry
Description
New and quick fabrication and application methods for short-lived radionuclides in industry are described which were developed and tested under the conditions of investigating large and complex material systems in industry. The basics for production of radionuclide preparations from the short-lived radionuclides 18F, 43Sc, 87Y/87mSr, 123I were studied. The fabrication of 18F and 43Sc radiotracers by activation with alpha particles is new and was used for the first time to optimize production processes in electroplating and in the building materials industry. Es werden neue, schnelle Herstellungs- und Applikationsmethoden von kurzlebigen Radionukliden fuer den Industrieeinsatz beschrieben, die unter den Bedingungen der Untersuchung grosser und komplexer Stoffsysteme der Industrie entwickelt und erprobt wurden. An drei verschiedenen Beschleunigertypen wurden die Grundlagen zur Herstellung von Radionuklidpraeparaten von den kurzlebigen Radionukliden 18F, 43Sc, 87Y/87mSr, 123I untersucht. Die Herstellung von 18F- und 43Sc-Radiotracern durch Aktivierung mit Alphateilchen ist neuartig und wurde zur Optimierung von Produktionsverfahren der Galvanotechnik und der Baustoffindustrie erstmalig genutzt.
