The Pretoria cyclotron facility

Description

The development and improvement of production procedures and the upgrading and extension of production facilities were continued. A high-yield compact 81mKr zirconium phoshate generator has been developed and is now in routine production. The development of an improved method for the separation of 22Na from bombarded magnesium targets is nearing completion, whilst studies on the production of 111In-tropolone for the labelling of blood cells have been continued. The registration of radiopharmaceuticals received further attention and a major effort went into the upgrading of existing facilities and development of new facilities
