Description

A facility is under construction at Marcoule, France for the continuous vitrification of high-level wastes by the A.V.M. process. The process comprises two steps: first, continuous calcination, and then continuous glass making with the calcined product and suitable additives. The A.V.M. process is capable of vitrifying high-level wastes emitted from a 1,500 ton/yr reprocessing facility
