Coordination compounds of tetravalent cerium ion with some N-derivatives of hydroxylamine
Description
Coordination compounds of cerium (4) with N-para(meta)-x-phenyl-acryl- and methacryl hydroxamic acids of the composition: [Ce{XC6H4-N(0)-C(0)-R}4], where X=4-CH3, H, 4-Cl, 4-Br, 4-CH=CH2, 4-CH3OC(0), 4-CH3C(0), 3-CH3, 3Cl, 3Br and R=CH=CH2, C(CH3)=CH2 are synthesized and characterized. On the basis of IR, PMR and electron absorption spectra data the method of coordination of organic ligands and probable complex structure are established. It is shown that complexing occurs with substitution of metal ion for proton hydroxyl group and oxygen coordination of carbonyl group. The structure of square antiprism is attributed to prepared compounds. Introduction of methyl into vinyl group (R) leads to substantial strengthening of the complex
