The use of PADC for neutron personal dosimetry in the nuclear industry
- 1. National Radiological Protection Board, Chilton (United Kingdom)
Description
PADC is the newest material used in an approved neutron personal dosimetry service in the UK. It has advantages over other neutron personal dosemeters of sensitivity, energy dependence of response, insensitivity to photons and ability to withstand harsh environmental conditions. It can be issued for wear periods of up to 3 months because it does not suffer significantly from fading. (author)
