Method of monitoring injury of external tube in double walled tube steam generator
Description
The present invention concerns a method of monitoring injuries of an external tube of a double-walled tube steam generator used in an FBR type reactor. When the external tube of the double-walled heat transfer tube is failed, helium gases flown and dissolved in sodium in the gap of the double-walled heat transfer tube are formed as gas bubbles. Injuries of the external tube of the double walled heat transfer tube are monitored by detecting the bubbles as a change of impedance of a solenoid type detection coils at the outer circumference of a bypass conduit. With such procedures, continuous monitoring can be conducted. (I.N.)
