Effects of low dose total body irradiation on artificial lung metastasis
Description
The effects of 0.05-0.60 Gy of total body irradiation on artificial lung metastasis were investigated with murine squamous cell carcinoma. Total body irradiation with 0.15-0.60 Gy immediately after intravenous injection of tumor cells resulted in a significant suppression of lung colony formation. When the net suppressive effect was estimated by the sum of the effects along the effective periods, 0.2 Gy gave the highest effect. (author)
