Design and construction of a Helium jet transfer system

Description

There are some important nuclear phenomena such as nuclear reactions, heavy-ion reaction, fusion processes in the reactor core, the half-life of unstable nuclei, and the isomer states, etc. In order to study each of them, it is necessary to transfer the reaction products of the above mentioned phenomena into the accelerator and the mass spectrometer in order to separate and show their nature. We can do it by helium-jet ion guide system. The advantages of this system are as follow: (A) Ions scattering will be reduced during exit from the vacuum chamber. (B) The time of the ion diffusion phenomenon reduces. (C) The transferring time into the accelerator reduces. (D) Ions will take the sonic and supersonic velocity
