Chemical shifts of oxygen-17 NMR in polyoxotungstates

Description
17O NMR spectra of aqueous solutions containing paratungstate BH2W12O4210- and metatungstate H2W12O406- anions have been measured. On the basis of the obtained data a scale of chemical shifts for oxygen atoms connected by various bonds with tungsten atoms is suggested. The obtained data are compared with the Raman spectra of crystalline salts and their aqueous solutions. Chemical shifts of 17O NMR spectra have been also measured in other heteropolyanions
