Measumement of deposit activity in NPP technological circuit without sampling

Description

A method of measuring the activity of deposits on internal surfaces of a NPP operating circuit without sampling is described. The results of testing the sampling method at Chernobilskaya NPP are presented. It is shown that the method gives the possibility to measure the deposit activity in any point of the circuit without its depressurization, which considerably accelerates and cheapens the measuring process. The data obtained permit to successfully forecast the NPP environmental radioactivity
