World Nuclear Exhibition: a not-to-be-missed international event for civil nuclear industry

This article reports an interview of Sylvie Bermann, the president of the World Nuclear Exhibition (WNE) that will take place from 30 november to 2 december 2021 in Paris. Because of the Covid 19 pandemic, this exhibition will be both physical and digital. WNE expects around 1000 high-ranking decision makers to visit 550 exhibitor stands. This year WNE will highlight 3 topics: innovations in the field of radioactive waste management, the production of hydrogen from electrolysis with nuclear energy and small modular reactors (SMR). According to Sylvie Bermann the situation of nuclear energy seems to be more favorable than ever before as new projects of nuclear power plants are multiplying worldwide and innovations around new technologies (SMR, advanced reactors, hydrogen...) stimulate the sector.
