Thermoluminescence in fluorite: sensitization mechanism

  • 1. Instituto de Energia Atomica, Sao Paulo (Brazil)
  • 2. Wisconsin Univ., Madison (USA). Dept. of Physics

Description

The sensitization of the major glow peaks (approximately to 100 and 2000 C) in fluorite correlates with population of traps causing higher temperature glow peaks. When considered with supralinearity results, it is concluded that either the sensitization results from an increase in trap-filling efficiencies, or the deeper traps are not filled during irradiation
