Influence of γ-radiation on the molecular-mass distribution of cellulose

Description
The molecular-mass distribution of cotton cellulose has been investigated after 60Co γ-irradiation in the dose range of 0-3.2 Mrad. It was found that the non-uniformity coefficient decreased from 1.3 to 0.4. It is shown that polymerization takes place together with macromolecular destruction. (author)
