Quantum yield and cross-section of impact excitation of rare-earth ions in gallium sulfide single crystals
Description
Cross-sections of some excited states of rare-earth Er3+, Tm3+ and Nd3+ ions, oscillator strengths of corresponding transitions, and quantum yield of the prebreak-down electroluminescence of GaS crystals are estimated and certain considerations concerning the mechanism of energy transfer to activator centers in GaS:Ln are presented
