Description
We have fabricated films of high-J c Sm1+xBa2-xCu3O6+δ (SmBCO) using a low temperature growth (LTG) technique. The self-field J c of LTG-SmBCO film increased with decreasing the substrate temperature at the upper layer fabrication (T s,upper). From X-ray φ-scan measurement, we confirmed three kinds of in-plane rotated grains in the LTG-SmBCO films. The main peaks correspond to the grain with a [1 0 0]MgO parallel [1 0 0]SmBCO. Other small peaks observed from the grain with 45 deg. rotation and 45 ± 8 deg. rotation decreased with decreasing T s,upper. We considered that high-J c SmBCO films resulted from the improvement of the in-plane alignment
