Description
The preparation of 18O-bilabelled acetic, propionic, and pentanoic acids is reported. The method already employed for the preparation of 18O-bilabelled cinnamic and phenylpropiolic acids is based on the alkaline hydrolysis (Na18OH) of 3-alkyl-4-nitroisoxazol-5-yl group which behaves as a masked carboxylic function.
