Computation of fast reactors by the embedded elements methods

Description

The method is proposed for computation of the neutron field in diffuse approximation for neterogenous reactor with zones of practically arbitrary geometry embedded each into other in arbitrary manner. Algorithm of this method is based on utilisation of the direct variational methods formalism. The possibility of a priori analytical integration of coordinate functions provides with low labour-consuming character of the method. Estimations of the accuracy of the method are given and advantages over traditional direct and finite differences methods are demonstrated. (author)
