Threshold pion photoproduction in break-up reactions on deuterium

Description

The break-up reactions γd→π+nn and γd→π0np are studied for energies close to treshold. The dependence of the π+ cross section on the neutron-neutron scattering length is investigated and the π0 cross section calculated in the energy range 0-20 MeV above threshold. (orig.)
