Numerical simulation of beam instability nonlinear dymanics in bounded plasma
Description
Non-linear dynamics of the Cherenkov beam instability in semi-confined heavy magnetized plasma is investigated by the methods of numerical modelling. Analysis of general initial-boundary problem permitted to reveal and retrace the transient process of establishing a nonlinear monochromatic wave in the system under consideration. Necessity for accountancy of such transient processes in solving nonstationary boundary problems of nonlinear electrodynamics is shown
