Neutron generation in small-sized sealed accelerating tubes
Description
Basic physical concepts are considered of neutron generation in sealed accelerating tubes, with the radial size, as a rule, not exceeding 10 cm. The results of the recent investigations developments of the main types of such tubes: gas-filled and evacuated, are systematized. Perspectives on creation of effective neutron tubes based on application of a laser ion source are discussed as well as collective methods of ion acceleration and high - current pulsed discharges
