Radiometric analysis and its application in the radioactive disequilibrium studies of some uranium minerals of Colombia

Description
Many samples show radioactive disequilibrium because of too many geochemical processes occurring in radioactive deposits. Since it's very difficult to interpret disequilibria by simply comparing radiometric and chemical assays, it's necessary to analyse the relative abundances of some daughter-products like 230Th, 226Ra, 222Rn, 210Pb. These results provide very important clues to the geological or geochemical history of deposits. Additionally, they can be used to evaluate the deposit ages
