On a mechanism of two-electron ionization of atoms
Description
The source term phenomenologically introduced to explain nonlinear effects in plasmas is explained on the basis of atomic processes. The order of magnitude of the coefficient of the second order term in electron density is calculated and compared with the experimental data obtained in an earlier work for Hg plasma. (auth.)
