Creators

  • 1. National Radiological Protection Board, Chilton (United Kingdom)

Description

Committee 1 of the International Commission on Radiological Protection has the responsibility of reviewing developments in biological aspects of radiation response and advising the Commission on the implications of these for radiological protection. Much of the work of the previous Committee 1 had been directed towards the provision of documents and advice that formed the biological basis of the 1990 Recommendations of the Commission in Publication 60. Following substantial changes in membership, the new Committee 1 met to review its future programme. This article outlines the future work of Committee 1 task groups and working groups as agreed at the meeting in September. (author)
