Angular correlation study of some medium mass isotopes
Creators
Description
Directional angular correlation measurements have been performed on several cascade gamma transitions in the 182W sotope. Two Ge detectors were used in the coincidence measurements with a constant-fraction-time discrimination method utilized in both channels producing a 12 msec resolving time (2t). Data were collected at six angles using on-line data acquisition technigue. Three-dimensional data storage was achieved using three CAMAC ADC'S (two for energy information E1, E2 and the thrid one for time). Data were transfered event-by-event and recorded on a magnetic tape. Three-gated gamma spectra were selected; namely 66,67 and 100 keV γ-transitions. Accidental coincidence as well as background spectra were subtracted in the off-line procedure. Seven gamma-cascades were analysed and the deduced δ-mixing ratios were compared with the published values. The single gamma spectrum has also been analysed, and the measured energies and the relative intensites were used in the determination of B(E2) values
