Effect of shift ultrasonic vibrations on X-ray Bragg diffraction

  • 1. AN Armyanskoj SSR, Erevan (USSR)

Description

The work is aimed at investigating the effect of shift US oscillations over the crystal thickness on the diffracted X radiation intensity. A monocrystalline 0.17 mm thickness quartz disk is used as a sample. US oscillation amplitude changed by means of variation of stress, applied to alternating electric field resonator. It is shown that under excitation of purely shift US oscillations, parallel to the refractive planes, in a crystal, a reduction of intensity of a refracted beam is observed, which is connected with the presence of phase distortions, conditioned by US oscillations
