Development of new radiopharmaceuticals: Metabolic studies on the myocardium with the aid of labelled fatty acids
Description
The role of short-lived radiopharmaceuticals in medical diagnosis is described with regard to their relative harmlessness as far as the patient and his neigbourhood are concerned. Due to their many possible applications, positron sources play a special role. Apart from this, the preparation and application of 11C- and 123-I-labelled fatty acids in cardiac diagnosis is described. (AJ)

Die Bedeutung der kurzlebigen Radiopharmaka in der medizinsichen Diagnostik wird hinsichtlich ihrer relativen Ungefaehrlichkeit fuer den Patienten und seine Umgebung beschrieben. Besondere Bedeutung kommt den Positronenstrahlern wegen ihrer vielseitigen Anwendbarkeit zu. Im weiteren wird die Herstellung und Anwendung von 11C unf 123J-markierten Fettsaeuren in der Herzdiagnostik beschrieben. (AJ)Additional details
