R and D of Japan Atomic Energy Agency
Description
A program of convergence of Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster, a large project of nuclear power system for steady supply of energy and measures of global warming, R and D of quantum beam for increasing the competitive power of technologies and industry, improvement of technologies for use of energy, security of the research, development and use of nuclear power, and activity for Non-Proliferation Treaty, development of technologies for decommissioning of our nuclear power plant and disposal of nuclear waste, geological disposal of radioactive waste, and activities to strengthen academic, industrial and government liaison and activities to response to community were reported. Outline of disposal technology for high-level radioactive waste, soft X-ray projection micrograph of living cell, a pump-probe spectroscopy using pico-second soft X-ray laser, decontamination test apparatus for environmental water with DB20C6 adsorbent, and the optical photograph and autoradiograph of Kaya (Torreya nucifera) collected at Iitate village in Fukushima are illustrated.
